Chiropractic: An Iowa

Chiropractic was founded by Daniel David Palmer
in Davenport, Iowa in 1895. Palmer was the first to teach that disease has three
primary causes, which chiropractic students learn as "The Three T's": thought,
trauma and toxin.
Harvey
Lilliard, a janitor who worked in Palmer's building had lost his hearing once
after stopping and hearing a 'pop' in his upper back. Dr. Palmer analyzed and
adjusted Lilliard's spine and almost immediately his hearing returned. The first
chiropractic patient commented that he could hear the bell of the trolley cars
once again.
